Keep electrical appointments ready and open estimates assigned. BoostOps combines an electrical virtual assistant, AI-assisted admin and CRM support for appointment coordination, panel and EV charger quote follow-up, and inspection-status tracking.

Discuss your electrical scheduling and follow-up
Your assistant handles the agreed office workflow and routes exceptions to the right person. Your dispatcher, estimator and qualified electrical staff retain technical, commercial and field decisions.
Confirm appointment readiness before booking
Appointment support can confirm the address, unit, contact, access arrangement and authorized appointment type. Your dispatcher decides technician fit, job duration and which opening may be offered. A cancellation waitlist can be scoped, but an open window is not permission to book any electrical job into it.
Keep access confirmation separate from permission to carry out work. If a customer changes the request or a required detail is missing, record the change and return the decision to dispatch. Do not quietly change the job type to make it fit the calendar.
Panel upgrades and charger estimates need different questions routed
Panel upgrade follow-up
Administrative follow-up can track the approved estimate version, customer decision and requested estimator callback. A homeowner may ask about capacity, utility coordination, project scope or price. The assistant captures the question and links the relevant record; your qualified electrician or authorized estimator supplies the answer.
EV charger estimate follow-up
A charger inquiry can involve site details, equipment questions, access and scheduling preferences. Collect only the information your estimator has approved for intake. Charger selection, electrical capacity, placement suitability and installation requirements are technical decisions, not qualification calls for an assistant or AI tool to make.
For either type of estimate, accepted should mean the authorized acceptance is documented. It should not automatically mean ready to install. Any applicable permit, utility or scheduling dependency still needs your team’s approval.
Track inspection status from the official record
A scoped inspection-status workflow can keep the official notice or update linked to the job, record who supplied it and assign the next administrative action. Use distinct states for requested, scheduled, result received, corrections referred to the electrician and reinspection awaiting authorization.
Your qualified team interprets a correction, performs and verifies the work, and authorizes the next request. The relevant authority issues the inspection result. The assistant can track and relay confirmed status, not determine code compliance, approve corrections or certify that work is safe or complete.
Use this electrical next-decision board
Illustrative workflow, not a client result. Copy this ungated board into your existing system. It separates administrative progress from the decision that authorizes the next step.
| Work item | Record and follow-up | Required decision or stop |
|---|---|---|
| Appointment needs access confirmation | Log the authorized access contact, arrangement and customer reply. Assign a follow-up if anything is missing. | Dispatch decides whether missing or changed details allow the visit to proceed. |
| Panel quote awaiting customer answer | Link the approved estimate, last contact, question and next action. | Route technical questions or revised terms to the estimator. Pause repetitive reminders while an internal answer is owed. |
| EV charger quote accepted | Record authorized acceptance, agreed scope and any readiness items identified by the electrician. | Do not infer capacity, permit clearance or installation readiness from acceptance. |
| Inspection notice received | Attach the official source, log the stated status and assign review to the qualified lead. | No reinspection or completion status based only on a draft summary. Follow the authorized review and official result. |
For each row add: job ID, source and date of the update, responsible person, next action, due date, permitted communication channel and escalation contact. Stop or change outreach when the customer opts out, the decision is recorded or an exception needs your team.
For example, a homeowner asks whether accepting a charger quote means their existing panel is suitable. The assistant records the question, assigns it to the estimator and pauses the routine decision reminder. It does not answer the capacity question or book an installation from the customer’s acceptance alone.
Human judgment, AI assistance and CRM records have different jobs
The human coordinates approved contact, records replies and notices exceptions. AI may assist with routine drafts or summaries under agreed human review. The CRM holds the source record, stage, owner and next action. A generated summary must not become the authority for an inspection result or technical recommendation.
Your team retains diagnosis, safety and urgency assessment, design, capacity calculations, equipment selection, technician allocation and commercial approvals. Potentially urgent messages use your approved escalation route. This is not an emergency service, and the assistant does not provide electrical troubleshooting or safety instructions.
Check the workflow against your current software
If you use Jobber, ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro or another scheduling or job system, identify which records it owns before adding tools. Review access, permissions and available features for the actual task. Naming a platform here is not a supported-integration claim.
A support user working inside your system is different from an automated sync. Any connection to BoostOps CRM needs feasibility, data-handling and cost review. Agree where estimates, appointment changes and official inspection records live so two systems do not tell different stories.
Onboarding starts with rules and records
- Select one queue. Bring current records for access confirmations, open estimates or inspection-status follow-up, rather than a general request to handle everything.
- Define authority. Name the dispatcher, estimator, qualified technical lead and person authorized to approve customer-facing changes.
- Provide the rules. Supply booking categories, access requirements, approved messages, contact permissions and stop conditions.
- Set access and review. Approve appropriate tool permissions, customer-data handling and human review for AI-assisted work.
- Test the exceptions. Try an access mismatch, a technical charger question and an inspection notice with an unresolved result. Obtain owner sign-off before activating the workflow.
Agree the queue-review cadence, correction process and handoff when your team owes an answer. That is how the engagement becomes an operating process rather than a list of tasks assigned to a remote worker.
Pricing and staffed hours
The public VA + AI CRM offer is $11.86 per hour, billed monthly, full-time. The $199 per month CRM-only offer does not include a human to coordinate appointments or follow up estimates.
Your proposal confirms monthly billable hours, staffed schedule, time zone, contact channels and allocation between queues. Agree holiday and absence arrangements, out-of-hours routing, and any usage-based communication, AI or integration costs before launch.
Report the next decision your office owes
A scoped electrical report can show appointments with access unresolved, panel and charger estimates by customer-decision status, technical questions awaiting your team and inspection records awaiting an official update or authorized next step. Give each item a record link, source date, owner, due date and next action.
Agree the format and cadence. Keep customer acceptance, scheduling readiness, field completion and inspection approval separate. Counts are useful only when they point to verified events, not inferred approvals or forecast revenue.
Electrical virtual assistant FAQs
Can an assistant answer panel or charger technical questions?
No. Intake and question routing can be scoped, but capacity, suitability, design and installation advice stay with your qualified electrical team. Approved administrative information is different from technical advice.
Can support fill a cancellation slot?
A waitlist workflow can be scoped around dispatch-approved job fit and availability. The assistant should offer only an authorized opening, record acceptance and confirm the change without double booking.
Can the assistant manage an inspection correction?
Administrative tracking and reminders can be scoped. Interpreting the notice, deciding the corrective work and authorizing reinspection remain with qualified staff. Official approval comes from the relevant authority.
Does this include live answering outside office hours?
Not by assumption. Agree channels, staffed hours and routing separately. Missed-call tracking or a later callback is not the same service as continuous live reception.
Must our estimator learn a new CRM?
Do not assume a software switch. First review whether your current system can hold the required owners, statuses and next actions. Any additional CRM use or integration should solve a specific verified gap.
